Finding Grants

Grant Notifications and Deadline Reminders

Grantboost can email you and your team when new grants match your profile and when a saved grant's deadline is coming up.

The emails Grantboost sends

Grant search report

On the schedule you choose, Grantboost emails a summary of grants it has matched to your profile, titled “Open and Upcoming Grant Opportunities for [your organization].” It’s organized into two sections:

Each grant listed includes its funder, title, amount, and deadline, along with a link to view it in Grantboost.

No new grants found

If a scheduled search doesn’t turn up any new matches, you’ll instead receive a “no new grants” email letting you know Grantboost didn’t find any applicable grants in its latest search, with a link to adjust your search preferences for better results. If you have upcoming opportunities from earlier searches, this email will also remind you of them under “Upcoming Grant Opportunities We Found Previously.”

Deadline reminders

If you have a saved or associated grant whose deadline falls within the next 3 days, Grantboost sends an “Upcoming Grant Deadlines” email listing each grant, its funder, amount, and deadline, so nothing slips through the cracks at the last minute. Dismissed grants are excluded from these reminders.

Configuring notifications

Go to Settings > Notifications to manage both types of alerts. Upcoming grant reports and deadline reminders are configured independently, each with its own toggle, frequency, and recipient list.

Upcoming grant reports

The Upcoming Grants Reports section controls the grant search report email.

  1. Go to Settings > Notifications.
  2. Use the toggle to turn Upcoming Grants Reports on or off. When it’s on, you’ll see: “You’ll receive periodic grant search reports.”
  3. Under Report Frequency, choose how often you want it: Daily (every day), Weekly (once a week), Bi-weekly (every 2 weeks), or Monthly (once a month).

Deadline reminders

The Deadline Reminders section controls the deadline reminder email, separately from the report above.

  1. Go to Settings > Notifications.
  2. Use the toggle to turn Deadline Reminders on or off. When it’s on, you’ll see: “You’ll be notified of approaching deadlines.”
  3. Under Reminder Frequency, choose Daily, Weekly, Bi-weekly, or Monthly.

Adding additional recipients

Each notification type can be sent to extra people beyond you and your team, and each has its own recipient list.

To add recipients for upcoming grant reports:

  1. Go to Settings > Notifications, with Upcoming Grants Reports turned on.
  2. Under Report Recipients, click Add recipient and enter an email address. Repeat for additional people.
  3. Click Save Recipients.

To add recipients for deadline reminders:

  1. Go to Settings > Notifications, with Deadline Reminders turned on.
  2. Under Reminder Recipients, click Add recipient and enter an email address. Repeat for additional people.
  3. Click Save Recipients.

You can remove a recipient at any time by clicking the trash icon next to their email address.
